More About Me

MY PREFERRED HIGHTLIGHT REEL

I tried sea kayaking, velodrome cycling, mountain biking and also took on sailing and motorcycle riding… This is the speed-loving side of me.

I was trained as a life guard and have served in the army reserve for two years. Know a little bit about self defense moves, but no Kong Fo. I find the criminal code interesting and eerily similar to the building code… This must be the dutiful side of my personality?

I am fascinated by the magic of life, neuro-science and micro-biology. I might have chosen a different career if the medical field was open to me at the time. I am secretly glad it didn’t happen…

I had a wonderful time at school, both in high school and university. Yes, I had my fair share of black attires and sleepless nights during my Architectural studies. Professor N saved me from failing my sophomore year (a story for another time). My gratitude toward his faith in me propelled me to be a better student since.

I graduated into the recession years and worked part time in both architectural office and other odd jobs like cashier, baker or gardener. I also found time taking courses in the evenings. No wonder I so treasure my sleep these days!

Politics aside, I am intrigued by organizational culture and social psychology. Simon Sinek’s vision of “people inspired, feel safe and fulfilled at work” fueled my curiosity to deeper learning in leadership and purpose.

Why coaching? It was totally a “Sliding Doors moment”. I was aiming for change management and landed on coaching, which is a blessing after all. I benefit so much from the interaction with my clients that I have redefined the trajectory of my profession and loving it!

Planning to get a sexy Italian scooter if there is such a thing…
